Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Event Producer in Live Event Audio-Visual (AV) Production in the Philadelphia, PA metro area. As the Senior Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of all audio-visual aspects of live events. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality productions that engage and captivate audiences.
Responsibilities:
  1. Planning and Pre-production:
  1. Coordinate and manage all pre-production activities, including venue inspections, equipment selection and procurement, crew hiring, and logistics planning.
  2. Develop detailed production plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  3. Collaborate with clients, event planners, and stakeholders to understand their goals, requirements, and technical specifications for live events.
  1. Technical Production Execution:
  1. Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source and secure required equipment and services.
  2. Ensure the proper setup, testing, and operation of audio-visual equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide on-site technical support.
  3. Direct and manage the production team, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of technical elements.
  4. Oversee all aspects of audio-visual production for live events, including sound, lighting, video, staging, and special effects.
  1. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  1. Collaborate closely with event producers, directors, and other stakeholders to align production objectives with overall event goals.
  2. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
  3. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  4. Lead and inspire a team of production professionals, including audio engineers, lighting technicians, video operators, and stagehands.
  1. Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
  1. Develop contingency plans and alternative solutions to address unforeseen circumstances or technical failures.
  2. Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges related to equipment, technical setup, and production logistics.
  3. Conduct rigorous quality control checks to ensure the highest standards of audio-visual production are consistently met.
  1. Post-production and Evaluation:
  1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of production processes and outcomes, seeking feedback from clients and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  2. Coordinate with video editors and post-production teams to ensure timely delivery of event recordings or highlights.
  3. Oversee post-event activities, including equipment breakdown, storage, and maintenance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Producer or similar role in live event audio-visual production.
  • In-depth knowledge of audio-visual technologies, equipment, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse production team.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate event schedules.
  • Proficiency in audio-visual software, editing tools, and other relevant production technologies.
