Our client, a world leading manufacturer of Audio Visual products is searching for a National Director of Channel Sales. The National Director of Channel Sales directs and oversees the  Consultant Vertical Market Business channel sales and marketing messaging, objectives and initiatives.  Establishes short- and long-term vertical channel sales strategies and evaluates effectiveness of programs.

Director responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve financial targets. Director duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships internally and externally and understanding customer trends.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and hit/exceed annual sales Quotas within Consultant Business Channel and execute strategic plan to achieve Company, Area, Region and Territory sales quotas and expand our customer base  
  • Build and maintain strong,  long-lasting customer relationships in the Consultant marketplace and to understand their business needs and objectives 
  • Generate standards using the existing resources available to increase  overall business
  • Effectively  communicate the value proposition through the development of vertical market marketing and sales presentations
  • Understand application  specific technology and trends
  • Reporting on changing channel and competition trends
  • Design and implement company Consultant strategiesSet specific Consultant sales and marketing objectives and monitor progress
  • Plan Manage and Coordinate National Events. 
  • Report to Area Vice Presidents on the overall Consultant marketplace (Weekly)
  • Work with  Area Vice President on the specifics of the Consultant marketplace (Daily)
  • Work with and support Regional Directors on overall Consultant objectives (As Needed)
  • Ensure smooth operation for all Consultant initiatives
  • Oversee Consultant messaging, programs and training of Regional Sales Managers and End Users
  • Analyze Consultant sales and marketing metrics and provide monthly evaluation and reporting
  • Generate innovative ideas to increase overall business
  • Establish messaging and training for the Consultant Regional Sales Managers and teams to sell
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Suggest and recommend new optimization methods to improve customer experience
  • Be responsible for effectively communicating value proposition
  • Address messaging and training for end users via webinars
  • Address advertising needs for publications, website and social media
  • Coordinate messaging to the end user via webcasts, show seminars, and monthly messaging

Qualifications:
  • Proven sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Previous experience in the Consultant marketplace
  • Need to communicate, present and  influence  all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Need to drive the marketing process from plan to close
  • Need to drive the sales messaging plan to close
  • Need to articulate the distinct aspects of technology, products, applications and services
  • Need to  position products  against competitors
  • Lead sales and marketing initiatives, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable sales business direction
  • Need excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Need excellent verbal and written communications skills
