A leading provider of audio-visual solutions for businesses and organizations across various industries has an exciting opportunity for an Audio Visual Field Technician in Columbia, SC.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in low voltage installations, with a strong focus on audio-visual systems. The Audio-Visual Field Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining audio-visual equipment at client sites, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio-visual systems, including projectors, displays, sound systems, video conferencing equipment, control systems, and other related components.
  • Perform low voltage wiring and cable termination for audio-visual installations, following industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality audio-visual solutions that meet client expectations.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to determine installation requirements and identify potential challenges or limitations.
  • Ensure all installations comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Test and calibrate audio-visual equipment to ensure optimal performance and audio-visual quality.
  • Respond to client service calls and provide timely and effective troubleshooting and technical support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and service reports.
  • Assist in training clients on the operation and maintenance of audio-visual systems.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the audio-visual field.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Audio-Visual Field Technician, with a focus on low voltage installations.
  • Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems, video conferencing systems, control systems, and related components.
  • Proficiency in low voltage wiring, cable termination, and installation techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for audio-visual installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work on-site at client locations and occasional travel as required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
